I am looking for a fast petrol estate as my daily driver, and love the look of the C43 (looking at a 2017).

The only problem is that it needs to be able to drive quietly with a dog and baby in the back... All the youtube videos of it, make it sound to loud for the job. The noise of the v6 is fantastic, but the pops and bangs of the exhaust might be too much.

Has anyone got any experience with these cars? I would love to know what its like when in eco mode. I would go an test drive one, but my nearest is 60miles away and lockdown!

noise will not be an issue for sleeping. If I think back as a small child, being in a noisy lorry, I soon feel asleep to the noise of the engine. Just buy it and enjoy.

I have a facelift c43 estate. Noise is not an issue in comfort or sport mode. I also have an additional sports exhaust button on the centre console to close the exhaust flaps.

Yeh pops, bangs and crackles should not happen in comfort mode.

I've got a 2019 C43 with factory sports exhaust. If anything I was disappointed with the noise the car produces, even in Sport+ mode. I also have a 2019 R8 V10+ with sports exhaust, which is clearly a hard act to follow in this department, but even so, the noise the C43 makes seems markedly less pronounced than it does in many of the YouTube videos. In short, you won't have a problem.

I have a 2019 c43, no issues with standard exhaust.

The facelift cars are quieter due to emissions regs and petrol particle filters. Generally the facelift model seems more refined and a more relaxed ride in comfort mode.

If budget allows go for the facelift model .
