Has anyone seen any of the lates Sport Trim Level Cars? I believe they are E Class and Now C Class cars. I am interested in buying a diesel version and wondered if anyone has seen this trim level

i dont know know too much about the specifics of this trim, but i remember it was recently mentioned in Mercedes Enthusiast. Might b worth dropping them an email or a call (Contact details on www.mercedesenthusiast.co.uk).

I remember they did mention a comparison between this new trim level and the Sportline trim level on the '124 series E-Class.

Im sure they mentioned it consided of lower, stiffer suspension, uprated alloys and Mercedes own take on AMG bodystyling. Not sure about other bits this includes, but the 124 Sportline trim came with a smaller steering wheel and a 20% quicker steering rack.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that. Well I have seen the Sports Edition C Class and I have bought one.

It's a C220 CDI Saloon in Diamond Black. The additional equipment fitted to it includes Xenons, Auto Box, Parktronic, CD Changer, Autodim mirror, heated seats as well as a few other goodies that escape me.

Im not sure how I will handle the change between current model M3 and a diesel but with the mileage I will be doing it seams like the right thing to do.

sounds like a nice motor! bit of a change in performance from M3 to C220 CDI, but for what it is, the 220 CDI motor gives good performance and is of course very economical, so if ure going to be doing all those miles, im sure u'll love it!
Gud luck with it!

All the best,

Darren

Well I collected it on Friday morning and so far I am very pleased. Yes it is a very different car to the M3 (Which I did love to pieces)

It is certainly a much softer car and I would say a lot less stressful. I am not sure what sort of fuel consumption I should expect. The computer is showing 31.5 MPG since re-set and generally 35 - 37 on a daily basis.

The whole experience of buying the car has been wonderful.
