SL55- convenience functions
Discussion
If the car hasn’t been driven for 10 days or so I get a message saying the convenience functions not available. After around 10 mins of driving they all come back to life. Is this a battery issue- should I have the car on a trickle charger? Has anyone installed a charging connection- and if so could you let me know details. Thanks

Yes, I keep mine topped up every couple of weeks I charge it overnight. I have a CTEK MX5.0 and used one of these on the terminalsCTEK Indicator eyelet M8. They do a range of adaptors so take your pick. Mine pokes up to the right side of the boot carpet panel and the battery is installed on that side just remove the carpet panel and the lower boot carpet.
Bit late as you have ordered a ctek, but NOCO do eyelet cables with a built in charge meter on the connector. Just four lights that flash every 10s or so to indicate 25%/50%/75%/full. If you can't leave a charger connected all the time it's handy to have a quick look and decide whether you need to. I've got them on all my cars and they work well.
I think they do a version you can fit to a bulkhead, too. Neater.
