W204 c320d buying guide
Discussion
That age of 204 are having rear subframe corrosion becoming not too uncommon. Difficult to spot if you're buying private, but if it's retail then have it inspected as soon as you can after purchase. With good service history etc, Mercedes are currently being quite good with their contribution towards getting it replaced. A garage shouldn't be selling it in that condition anyway, so you would have good comeback for them replacing it should you need to.
Engine oil cooler seals aren't too uncommon on those engines as the mileage gets on a bit. The seals themselves are very cheap, but it's quite a labour intensive job, so as a result not that cheap to have them replaced.
Other than that, in the grand scheme of things they're pretty reliable, and not much in the way of more common expensive faults.
