Sat Nav stuck in Germany

Picked up a new car today and can't get the navigation to switch to the UK, the auto clock is also not working (I suspect its related). I will obviously call the dealer tomorrow but wondered if anyone else had suffered this, never known it before on any car I've owned.

Not had it on a Merc, but our A3 e-tron thought it was in Germany once. This picture was taken on our drive in W Sussex Had to go into the dealer to be sorted...a problem with the GPS aerial from memory

Strange ain’t it? Mine is stuck just outside the factory gates, but it’s affecting the speed limit warnings along with a range of other functions like the auto clock.

I just hope it’s an isolated incident, recently a mate got £3k compensation and a new car after multiple software issues with his GLC 43. Spent more time in the workshop than his driveway.

I thought it used the camera in the screen to read speed limiters, but I’m not 100% on that! I can’t remember if they replaced the aerial or if it was just a dodgy connection.

I had the same thing on a C Class; the GPS antenna was faulty. Once replaced, the car regained its bearings properly!

Edit to add: I think it also updates the clock from the GPS too, so should also fix this.
