I wonder if anyone can help?
I have a 2014 C63 W204 and over the last couple of weeks the air con has become less efficient (ie less cold)
Now, when I press the a/c button it flashes on and off for a few seconds and then goes off. Is this telling me that it's more than a regas?

Yes. You certainly have a problem which MIGHT just mean re-gassing. Suggest a mobile a/c specialist check it out. They have all the expertise & experience, are cheaper than garages or worse a Mercedes main dealer. I paid a Kings ransom having an independent Mercedes specialist with a global reputation replace almost the entire a/c system on a 2012 50k mile SLK having forgotten that a mobile a/c man repaired my wife's Honda a/c on the drive AND made a modification to avoid further issues for which I paid what could be regarded as loose change.

I'd start with a pressure test, check the gas level and go from there.

Sorry to say it's probably your condenser.

Unfortunately, I think you may be right.
Car is booked into a specialist tomorrow morning so will keep you updated.

Forecast was correct. New condenser needed. I saw the old unit and you could see where the leaks were. Also rammed with muck and dead flies etc.
All done and now nice and cool....just in time for winter.
