W 204 Central Gateway error

Hi Everyone,
New member here. I have a Mercedes W204 and it has developed some issues after a flat battery. Indicator lights, wipers, AC, etc won't work. Took it to a Mercedes specialist in Brighton and they say that they can't communicate with the diagnostics; the Central gateway is faulty? Error mentioned is U002000 Interior CAN bus OFF fault. The car starts fine and drives well. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I dont wanna spend 100s on this if possible. Any help is appreciated.
