I’ve been told by dealership 30-40 cars for UK, 200 on waiting list (now closed), decisions on allocation at the end of this month.

Obviously AMG history is critical but does anyone know how they are spread out between dealerships across the UK? Or is it all on individual customer merit?

I’ve no clue how previous BS editions have been distributed. Grateful for any opinions.

One would guess by proximity to high value areas, past history of AMG sales over five years and the more successful dealerships as a showpiece and a reward.

Merc Brooklands told me they only expect one car which as the largest dealer, owned by MB Retail, indicates they will be very hard to get.

This makes sense, and seems to agree with what happens in other countries, ie build slots per dealership. If you have registered your order with MB you are on the list but there is no apparent link to the originator dealership within the listing, so the list is simply a record of the level of interest. So potentially you could have purchased GT, GTC, GTR +/- pro from one of the biggest dealers but be number three in that dealership list and miss out, whereas someone else with an objectively smaller purchase history but engaged with a smaller but still significant dealer gets lucky.
I’ve a reasonable AMG history and supposedly #1 for a dealership with a highish volume of AMG sales. We shall see.

One per franchise plus AMG One and SLS Black Series customers.
