Hi,
Keen to get the new GLE but a bit confused by the packages. If I'm to spend a factory order today, the premium plus package gives me everything I want but if I'm looking at new in stock cars with premium plus package, it's different because they so had tech packages.
I've found one car with premium plus package and off road package. My concern is that it doesn't have the tech package and the smartphone integration. The dealer confirmed this but said you can get around it by purchasing the Mercedes Me option and getting apple car play that way. I don't care about augmented reality satnav so won't miss that but not being able to use apple car play simply is a deal-breaker, especially in Thai day and age. Does apple car play through mercedes me work okay, is it effectively the same or some additional steps? Lord alone knows why they wouldn't just include it as standard these days

I have Apple car play in my E200 and quite frankly, I cannot see what the fuss was about. I personally didn’t see any advantage in it and end up not using it as during one of my commutes home, WhatsApp notification kept interrupting (I know it can be muted) my music when the in-laws were have a chat.
