Have agreed a deal on a 68 plate AMG GT C Roadster. Sep 18 car, 3700 miles and yet to be serviced, the first was due in Sep 19 (annual I believe) unless there is a running in service required? The car may have been languishing in the trade for months, previous owner was MB financial services.

So, MB dealers have told the trader that it needs a full B service to preserve the warranty, which will be done at a main dealer prior to delivery. Than back on to annual services. I want assurance that I can still buy an extended MB warranty in Sep 21, it appears this won’t be a problem.

Is this car one to avoid, or should this anomaly be easily explained come resale and not Impact the value.

Thoughts.

That sounds like a question for your friendly main dealer. They are the ones who are going to say that you have a warranty or not. I would guess that a few people have missed scheduled services due to the current crisis.

I would want to see proof that it was an MB car, I was told this and it turned out MB Chelmsford were lying, because of GDPR it is difficult to see the previous owner, I found out because I got a different dealer to service mine and they told me that they used to service it.

I have also been told that warranties and service intervals have been extended by MB

Hope you don't mind me asking- Did you purchase the car? Where in the UK was the dealership?
