V220-V250 differences

I’m currently in the market for a 3/4yr old V Class, had set myself on the V250 with 190ps as I’m coming from a V6 Viano and they’re comparable performance wise. Having done a bit of googling however, it would appear the engine in the V220 is identical in every way just with a different map. Anyone able to confirm or deny? I would be happy to throw the search a bit wider and get the 220 mapped.
