AMG Remapping

Hi all

Looking at getting my W213 E63s remapped now it’s out of warranty.

I’ve never had a car remapped myself, especially an AMG. I’ve shortlisted 3 options, none are local to me in South Wales but I don’t mind travelling :

DMS Automotive
MSL
JF Engineering

All have excellent track records and have dealt with many AMGs. All are pretty much the same price.. which is eye watering for a remap but it’s an ecu out job.

Does anyone have any recent experience with any of the above or recommend anyone else worth enquiring with?

I’m leaning towards DMS as their after sales seems fantastic (if the map gets wiped by a dealer for whatever reason they’ll put the map back on f.o.c anywhere in the country, unlimited doubt of times.. others don’t offer that)

Had the 2012 TDV8 Range Rover done that has been replaced by V8 SC Range Rover last August but I am on the fence with getting it done
because it is pretty quick already 5.1 0-60

I would highly recommend Viezu Technologies, in Bidford on Avon, Warwickshire. This is an extremely capable and professional outfit creating custom maps from scratch for each individual vehicle. They do not use off the shelf tunes, every one is written bespoke to each vehicle, based on the downloaded file from your ECU, which is tweaked rather than replacing the file with a completely new one. They can tailor the map to achieve different objectives.

I had my Lamborghini mapped by them a couple of years ago. As you would expect, I did a huge amount of research as I did not want laptop boi going anywhere near my pride and joy. Also I wanted to use an outfit that had a track record working on more exotic metal and would stand by their work through after support etc.

Would be worth a call before you pull the trigger. Mention the LP570-4 Superleggera in yellow. They will remember it!

DMS did my C63 to well over 510 bhp. Great service and good people.

Many of the AMG boys swear by MSL. They also do some crazy engine modifications if your wallet is thick enough.

MSL are the one out of those who seem to get the most recommendations on the Mercedes forums.
The other one who gets mentioned is GAD, but they are in Essex so even further away than MSL.

DMS seem to have a fantastic rep and the aftercare seem to brilliant.

MSL are clearly the merc / AMG specialist. Both are 2 odd hours away and the same price.

I’ve not read bad things about either regarding the map, service or aftercare.

I think il have to pick at random because I don’t think il be disappointed with either to be honest. Tough choice!

Got ours done the other day by BR performance (3rd time we’ve used them) but not sure if you have them there.. very pleased with 700hp.

I would lend my vote to Acid at MSL. Great outfit. Very knowledgable and incredibly helpful. He will do a great job.
