Look at the results on the DMS website or Facebook page. I think you will smile and be on the phone asap.
I've looked on everyone's website and the results are always impressive, they are all however , selling you something.I'm not disputing anyone's claims , just interested in anyone's actual real life impressions of re mapping this particular engine .
After picking through various forums on various websites and getting conflicting reviews, this is the Internet where everyone knows better than anyone else , I ordered a 'racechip' tuning box for just less than five hundred quid .
Took twenty mins to wire it in , simple plug in job to be honest , and after driving it around there's a definite improvement in performance measured solely on the tried and tested seat of the pants dyno . Its definitely woken the 43 v6 engine up .

Bit of a holy thread revival batman moment. But adding to this. Did you ever have any issues with the racechip unit? Looking to buy myself and wanted to get a long term review that was real rather than testimonials that can be faked.Took twenty mins to wire it in , simple plug in job to be honest , and after driving it around there's a definite improvement in performance measured solely on the tried and tested seat of the pants dyno . I’ve never bothered to put it on a dyno but the seat of the pants version seems to detect power gains , probably more torque than anything else . I’ve been happy enough with it and there’s been no anomalies so far .

Hi , I’ve still got the car with the racehip box I fitted myself during lockdown , it’s been absolutely fine including a couple of ring trips , although recently I’ve really not been using the car as I’m busy with a house renovation , it’s stood in the garage still on winter tyres !

Good to know. Think I'll pick one up the next time they do a sale. Thanks!I’ve never bothered to put it on a dyno but the seat of the pants version seems to detect power gains , probably more torque than anything else . I’ve been happy enough with it and there’s been no anomalies so far .
Not directly relevant to mapping, but there is a recent teardown of a hydrolocked c43 lump on YouTube - inevitably a couple of bent rods was terminal.
The rest of the engine was pretty much spotless, and looked beautifully robust - apart from a disproportionate amount of scoring on the bottom end bearings. Appeared to be inherent due to the design clearances. Something to be mindful of maybe as these get to higher miles.

Just hit 38k miles and a full MB service history. Should be fine.
