I recently purchased a 2007 Mercedes c320 cdi sport. I was wondering if anyone on here can tell me roughly the realistic mpg they have got from the car and any issues they have came across in general. I bought the car with 130k. Felt flawless to drive and very clean all round so picking up on wednesday.

Most would do their research before buying smile

What service history has it got?

Black death caused by leaking injectors can be an issue and worth checking for, but generally if it has been serviced properly they should be pretty reliable and can handle big mileages.

Has the transmission fluid change been done as per Mercedes recommendations, probably around 37.5k miles. I would think about getting it done again if that is the only change it has had.

MPG wise you should get lower to mid 40's I would think on a decent run, maybe more.

I have done my research online and was only really able to find information on websites but not info from your average joe bloggs that has one. It has a full service history and is being serviced before i collect it with all fluid levels checked and a oil and filter change. I did ready 30-35mpg is realistic. I plan on taking the car to a mercedes specialist garage near to my home that has fantastic reviews and who have been running for years to have a good look round the car for me.

Most of the info on websites will be from the average Joe Bloggs and his experience.

If it has been serviced as per Mercs recommendations it should be ok, but take the engine cover off and check the injectors for leakage. It will be like a black gunge if there is a problem.

A good one will just about be run in at that mileage and good for another 100k at least, probably a lot more if looked after.
