W163 ML270 CDI front tyre inner edge wear

Hi all,

I’ve been monitoring this for a while as I noticed it a while ago. The front tyres are wearing heavily on the inner edge. I don’t like them anyway so I decided to sort it when they need replacing which I’d like to do soon now, or at least when lockdown finishes.

Across the tread they look fine, but the inner shoulder is really smooth and worn. Is this normal or what should I be chasing when I can get it to a garage? I’m thinking the front suspension could be quite worn. I’ve done 21k miles since I bought the car and these tyres were pretty new at the time.

I can post a picture tomorrow but it’s a bit dark now. Rear tyres look like they’re wearing evenly.

(This may well be normal and it's not as drastic as my first post may have made it seem! I just don't want to ruin a new set of expensive tyres. To be fair, these have done at least 21k miles now and there is still life so I think it's probably all fine)
