Hi all

I'm about to pull the trigger on a CLK Black Series and wondered if any owners had any general advice for me at all.

The car in question is: https://www.bakerbrothers.co.uk/used-cars/mercedes...

Don't know if anyone knows about the car specifically or has any general advice for me as a purchaser?

Wow, these have held their value really well. No advice but has always been one of my favourite cars, especially after seeing the episode of Topgear with Jeremy driving it from London to Wales. Anyway if you do buy it, enjoy it.

I've owned one for nearly 5 years now. I follow the prices on these a fair bit.

What a fking awful advert, I hope that Baker Brothers are more professional than their advert implies. Lots of incorrect information in there too.

For servicing I would only use Brooklands. Lots of parts on these are unique or in different places to the standard CLK. Most MB dealers will have never worked on one of these and will probably damage the car trying to work things out (this is what happened to me).

Spare parts can be a nightmare, if its a Blackseries specific part (their codes start P98) then lead times can be very long.

They're amazing fun things though, you will be going sideways and smiling an awful lot.

I started looking for a "Black Series" about 12 months ago and that one has been for sale all that time i had been looking, sadly i didnt get to own one, i had my arm twisted to buy an Aston Martin as the deal was too good to turn down, however a BS could be on my radar if the Aston starts to bore me.

I did notice it had been for sale for a while, but wondered if they just hadn't removed it from the website.

Lovely looking car.

Question, how does a black series compare to a normal CLK63 ?
