Any views on performance seats vs sports? From reading it appears some say that the performance seats are a bit tight / uncomfortable over long distances? Boy do they look good though!

TX.

Edit - 2019 car.

I went for comfort seats in mine - if you find a car with performance seats, it wont have the driving assistance package (lane assist etc). For some reason if you have the comfort seats then you can spec the assitance package. History has proved that AMG bolsters dont wear well on the performance seats either really unless your careful getting in and out everytime.

No doubt the performance seats look amazing. They did look a bit out of place in an E Class if i was brutally honest but if they didnt sacrifice other toys on the car id likely have specd them.

out of sheer curiosity - is this to replace the M5 Comp listed in your garage?

Depends how often you'll use the car, their the same seats across A/C/E and i've got the C.

Their stiff but quite supportive, not very cushiony and the bolsters do wear quickish from what i can see with mines.

I daily mine and do about 300 miles a week and i just about manage, if your doing regular long commutes i'd go comfort if you have back issues. If short/not so often long commutes and your backs fine go for the performance seats, They look 10x better too!

I found the comfort seat bolsters quite tight initially. I really wanted something comfier like the previous model but MB moved the W212 in the direction of performance over comfort. My main complaint about the E63 incidentally.

Mine's an MY68 car and I'm no midget, but find the performance seats comfy enough - they are firm for sure on longer journeys and I'd say that for me it borders on uncomfortable.

I did the driving experience at MB and the car there had the regular seats - and with those I barely had any head room! (I'm only 6'2").

i find that they do pinch a bit, not your waste but thighs and the pedals feel a little offset so after a couple of hours i might get an ache in my right thigh. given the choice again i'd opt for the standard seat i think, although the performance seats do look rather trick, it's not like i am planning to do track days in 2 tonne wagon.
