Bought a new (to me) 66 plate C43 in November and it's recently had it's first M.O.T.

One of the things evident in the report was uneven tyre wear from left to right on the front only. Is there a common issue with C43s or is this a symptom of poor alignment? The tyres have worn evenly across the surface of each tyre.

NSF: 5.9mm
OSF: 2.2mm
NSR: 5.2mm
OSR: 5.2mm

I have noticed the issue of tyre skipping which is prevalent in C43's at hard lock, but to only affect 1 tyre?

If they are wearing evenly across each tyre individually, it could just be that a single front tyre has been replaced due to a puncture or damage, and the rears have both been replaced as they wear quicker leaving a single front tyre needing replaced soon.

I say that as my car, whilst not a C43, has tyres with similar wear patterns to yours above due to those reasons!

If pressures have been kept similar across the two then look at geometry next. If geo is correct and bushes/mountings etc are of a similar age and condition then look at the date code one the tyres. It will make sense when you see it.

Date codes checked, 3 tyres at 2017 and the front left at 2019.

Mystery solved, thanks again.

Who ever thought a lowly spanner monkey could help a PHer to establish a fact?! I thought most people on here had staff for such menial trivialities..

That's the last time I give the staff any bereavement time, it was only her mother...

Thanks again!
