New CLA availability

Don't you just hate it when you have decided which new car you want to buy, but the manufacturer cannot supply one!!
I have tried to place an order for a new CLA with a large Mercedes dealer, but they have only been given 4 allocated build slots between now and April.
Absolute earliest is looking like May, with no guarantee of that. Meanwhile the value of my part exchange will drop hundreds in 4 months.

That is insane!
I know....the price of cars is shocking these days.Take the C Class as another example....much older design that is showing its age now but still very desirable, it ranges from absolute poverty spec "S" at £29k that literally nobody buys, right up to a mind numbing £84k.
I don't want to drive a Dacia though, so what you gonna do.
