Over Christmas I’ve been using Mrs MG’s car and noticed a water sloshing noise. Quick google search suggests those fine boys and girls at Mercedes failed to properly seal the front bulkhead on a number of the vehicles and water can get in. That’s ok because there are drain holes.
It seems I should be able to access them without removing the dash but there is no guidance as to where they are or how.
Please can somebody assist
Thanks

I have the same issue with a W164 ML320. Water is sloshing around in/near the front bulkhead. Did anyone (original poster) have a solution for a) getting the water out and b) preventing water from getting in again?

Thanks

I have a 164 and had the blower fan fail due to water shorting out. Cause was the air intake below the left bonnet vent. There is a black plastic air box with drain holes which block with crap. This fills with rain water which goes onto the cabin air filter and the fan below. Remove with the top clips and screwdriver the drain to clear....often!
