Brilliant Blue metallic

I've seen an SL that I really like, but I can't make my mind up about the colour - Brilliant Blue.

Is it just a little too 'Vanessa Feltz'?

The SL looks good in most colours. In a blue - just shows that you have some individuality AND you will not lose it at the dealership.

I think I'm going to go and find a car in that colour 'in the flesh', every car I see advertised as Brilliant Blue looks a different shade!

Just don't want anything too flashy, prefer to be subtle, but it does look a nice shade if it's not too bright in reality.

Firstly - what is wrong with Vanessa Feltz? Til it fell off etc.

Second - brilliant blue is a lovely colour - I've seen an SLK in it which looked amazing, and I've had two E class coupes in it. I would say it's the nicest colour that you could pick for an SL, if a lowly E class looks this good...

The problem is that the SL is not exactly a masculine car to begin with...

The only colour available on the C63 when I ordered it which wasn't monochromatic black/white/grey, sure, but I like it anyway.






I think it's a great colour, and great on the SL the few times I've seen it too.

Lovely colour, much better than the dreary depressing inevitable black, silver or tarmac grey nearly ALL with funereal black interiors.
Go for it & stick two fingers up to the silly childish cliched remarks about the masculinity of SL/SLK/SLC's as I can only assume such scribes have deep insecurities about THEIR masculinity & a fear as to how others see them, thus over-compensate with big gross noisy ugly vulgar cars.
I'd love a brilliant blue SLC as I fear that the extra width of an SL would be a disadvantage amidst some of the narrow lanes in my neighbourhood.
