W219 High Pressure Fuel Pump

I am wondering if any of the forum members have purchased or had refurbished a high pressure fuel pump for a 350 cgi engine (part A2720700201)?
Two different Independent Merc Specialists (in Herts and Bucks) have diagnosed via STAR that the hpfp in my CLS is kaput!
There are a number of them for sale on eBay supplied from Europe for circa €1500 plus delivery but I am a little nervous about buying from an unknown company so far from the U.K.
I have contacted around 20 UK engineering firms and Mercedes (Indy and main dealer) to see if the fitted hpfp could be fixed but have only received negative responses (most stated they can only fix diesel pumps).
Mercedes (Main dealer) have quoted over £3500 for a new pump and fitment. In the current market my 2007 350 cgi CLS is worth about the same price!!
To conclude, I am looking for a recommended source for either buying a refurb pump or having the current pump refurbished!
