Wierd title I know, but couldn't think of anything else to put.

I saw a pre-facelift, old shape Mercedes C-Class a few weeks ago which looked to have 2 front fog lights, each side. They normally have one circular light at the bottom of the bumper at each side, this had 2 each side.

Despite googling it I can't work out what it was all about, I can't find any pictures of cars looking the same or anything that talks about it. So what did I see? It didn't look like an aftermarket bodge job either.

To the mods: I've put it in General Gassing because I want to know what it was, if it is in the Mercedes Sub-Forum I'll never get an answer!

If I remember correctly, it was a trim feature. SE, Bluefficiency etc had these (one fog, one DTRL), and Sport, AMG etc had the more sporty front end with the bar DTRL.
E-Classes of that era had the same setup in the prefacelift IIRC.

Originally this was on the Brabus bumper. Aftermarket copies quickly became available.
Also fittings to allow the twin fog lights into standard bumpers were available, but not sure if it was this shape C class or the later one as posted above..

That's it! How you found that on AutoTrader I have no idea, I looked there and couldn't see any.

No that shape was the previous previous one (I think). The later one above is correct.

Brilliant, thanks. Everyday is a school day!
