W219 CLS - Adding Aux cable / Replacement Head Unit - Help!

Hi folks,
Just agreed a deal on a lovely CLS, it's a 2007 with standard head unit so no COMAND/Nav which means to audio/Aux connection in the glove box - bit of a pain!
Two questions:
- Is there a straight forward way to add an aux cable/input to the unit?
- Has anybody had any joy with replacement head units? I've found the usual Android options for around £200-£250, I had one in my Golf and it worked pretty well.
I know there's the Bluetooth/radio transmitter option but sound quality tends to be poor in my experience.
