S class colours
Discussion
You only have to look at a main dealer car park to see the entire grey scale spectrum. Occasionally there might be a colour but it is usually in the smaller cars. You can order larger cars in colours but for some reason no-one does.
I've seen one cls63 estate in hyacinth red and it looked amazing. The rest are silver, black, grey and white.
I'd say 90% of e55 estates are silver, 8% black and the very occasional colour, mostly blue. No idea why and it's a great shame as they look great in a colour.

Are you saying since 2016 you can only buy boring colours new?
Or, that those that stumped up for a new one didn't think about buying it in a colour you would like when they came to sell it?
I'm not looking to buy new. Finances dictate I buy at 3-4 years old, usually higher mileage examples. Or, that those that stumped up for a new one didn't think about buying it in a colour you would like when they came to sell it?
Spec not an issue; just that there is no Goddamn variety in body colours.

You could if you’re that concerned have one wrapped in any colour you like...
There is someone near me who has taken this approach and wrapped their S-class bright blue metallic, looked great from a distance, sadly not so great up close, would be a great idea with a better wrap. You could if you’re that concerned have one wrapped in any colour you like...

The thing that gets me is so many only offer black interiors if you want something other than the SE spec.
BMW are better than Mercedes or Audi for this, they are both useless.

I agree, for me I always like dark blue, and there is usually a decent blue available.

Mercedes at least offer some choice in the E Class, even in ‘AMG Line’ trim - I’ve got one with saddle brown leather, which looks more subtle in real life than this picture! But, I like it The thing that gets me is so many only offer black interiors if you want something other than the SE spec.

That's a lovely colour combination
Thanks - I think so too But, MB have it as ‘not recommended’ on the colour/roof/interior charts in the brochure! Both for that paint and leather combination, and that roof and interior combination. But, they do recommend black and red leather with the paint, so what do they know
