Can someone tell me how the Mercedes-Benz electronic service history works? I do not have a stamped service book as I was told the system is electronic now.

Can it be reviewed by the car owner or just a Mercedes dealer?

Should a dealer automatically complete it?

Can a dealer in another country see a UK service history?

A Mercedes-Benz independent recently told me that there is no service history recorded for my vehicle despite it being serviced at main dealers for 4 years since new. What is going on?

It's all held digitally on the Mercedes computer system. A lot of independents will not be able to access, so it's generally main dealer only albeit with some exceptions

You should be able to request a print out of all the servicing the car has had. Also if you go here and enter your reg https://www.mymercedesservice.co.uk/ it will tell you the last recorded time the car was seen by a Mercedes dealership

Mercedes dealers should give you a print out after each service detailing chronologically each service carried out and the mileage at which it was done. This is to provide evidence if you ever need to make use of their Mobilo life breakdown cover.

Recognised indys have access to the Mercedes digital system and can log each service they do and also provide you with the same print out.

I have never been able to successfully input my reg number and use that website. It has always told me to contact a dealer (usually resulting in no response).

I have never had such a document and have always used official dealers for servicing. My guess is that my vehicle does not have an electronic service record.

They have been doing it digitally for 8 years or so at least so if it is your 2015 car it should be digital. (Sorry not stalking just had a peek at your garage) smile

My dealer would attach a readout updating with the latest service to my invoice each time. I now use an Indy and he does the same.

You only actually need to keep the latest as it repeats all the previous services with the addition of the service carried out so you are only looking for one piece of paper.

Yes, 2015 model. I will contact Mercedes and see if they can create and update the service history.

Mercedes has finally advised that the G series does not have an electronic service record. I guess that explains why none of the dealers seem to know what they are doing when it comes to servicing a G.

Seems a bit strange that they would do this for the G series only.
