Not sure if Mercedes is the right section, but here goes.
Phase 2, 2008 1.0 litre Smart. Can the gearbox oil be changed and what does it take and how much? I am presuming it's oil for life in theory but a change on my high-mileage 760 Beemer made a big difference (which had for life oil) so i tend to change transmission oil every 50,000 miles if possible.

Can the gearbox oil be changed quickly and easily? It's supposedly oil for life, but many cars are like that and oil changes have made a worthwhile difference when i've done it.

75/90 is fine i am now told by a guy who used to sell Smarts 10 years ago as a side business.
