Merc C270CDi running problems - help needed

I have a C270CDi, not been able to drive it for a month as it has really bad diesel knock. Fault code says rail sensor, but thats been replaced, as has the regulator. Cables to them have been checked all OK. A mate of mine said it could be one or more sticking injectors. Any thoughts?
