What is the going rate for an 18 inch diamond cut refurb ?

Have tried four places local to me, two of them prefer to powder coat rather than the original lacquer because they reckon the lacquer will not be long lived. Of the other two one takes 3 days at £100 a wheel the other, which is a well respected refurb outfit takes a week at £150 a wheel.

Had the same advice coupled with reluctance to 'diamond cut'.
Fancy wheels are fine but can be a worry. Sometimes the simpler less fancy route makes more sense.

I had 20" diamond cut AMG wheels repaired, recut, painted and lacquered for £80+VAT per wheel at Alloy Art in Rochford, Essex

The going rate from The Wheel Specialist is £175 per wheel.

This was based on my 19' rims on my E220, 2 years ago.

Had the 18inch diamond cut Midir alloys on my V50 recut and lacquered a few years back.
The lacquer perished quickly and within a couple of years they looked as shabby as they always did. Would have preferred another finish in hindsight
