Is that pub now open?
I seem to think that it was closed for some time (nothing to do with Covid). We were disappointed that it was closed but drove on in the direction of Macclesfield and there was a nice little cafe on one of the (many) bends.
It’s opened as a cafe / coffee shop / distillery and shop. Apparently shut for 5 years I seem to think that it was closed for some time (nothing to do with Covid). yep, nice cars, pretty rare as well the R172
what interior do you have and console (I like the carbon console) and do you have the P30 option big brakes?
You can chiptune them to 440-450hp and with some exhaust changes you can do some more.
Sadly not seen a supercharged one yet, I believe the turbo's from its big sister engine does not 1 on 1 fit/work a shame, would make it a real hot-rod I think.
anyhow, I also look every day in ads to SLK 55 AMG the R171 (specially the rare facelift versions) and R172 (with the bg brake set and carbon etc)

Hi not sure on the big brake option, I think it’s about 420bhp anyway so i wouldn’t bother trying to chase a few more bhp. Console is as pic below. It’s a great car and I think quite rarewhat interior do you have and console (I like the carbon console) and do you have the P30 option big brakes?

You can see it at the front brake calipers, can you make a good picture (close up) of those? then you can see if it has the big brake option or standard.Hi all, bit of an update on the SLK as it’s turning out to be a keeper, so I’ve taken the plunge and gone for a new front grille, it’s the AMG GT type grille. I think it’s really updated the front end, here are before and after shots

That's the Panamericana grille, and you're right it does really suit the car and give it a more updated and sporty look.
The only downside is that its much more open and see through compared with the original.
I seen a video of a guy on youtube fitting one and he attached a wire mesh to the back of it to improve the look more and offer some protection from stones etc.
