Having missed the chance to get an Alpina B5 touring I am coming back to the idea of and E63s but can anyone tell me what their average mileage out of a tank of fuel is - am I correct in thinking it is only 60L ?

I don't mind paying for fuel - it's the frequency that bothers me ! wink

66litres I think.

My most frequent journey is just under 5miles each way to the train station and back each day in the week.
Those short runs I see around 14mpg.

On longer runs, I get 24-26 mpg.

I think my average since owning is just under 20mpg

Thanks so:

66L = 14.5 Gal.

so circa 275 miles per tank @ 19 MPG average

worst 203 miles and best 350 ish….

hmm looks like 2019 cars get an 80 L tank just not exactly sure when the 80 L tank came in.

Wasn't aware of that. But makes sense. Doesn't really bother me given my average weekly journey profile, but I can see how others would find it tiresome.

Amazing car anyway, let me know how you get on (mine's a 'wagon').

No idea if relevant to you but my 2012 CLS63 last weekend took £94 to fill with just 10 miles left on the range, @ £1.339 I think. That would suggest a 75L tank?

Got 340 miles out of that tank, car thinks 22 mpg, rough calcs back this up

An 80 litre tank option has been available on the non-AMG E since at least W211 (I have a feeling it was standard on non-AMG V8 models, along with a bigger main battery). Perhaps it hasn't always been available on the AMG models?

I average 300 - 350miles per tank depending on how I drive and the type of driving.

it'll happily sit on 26/27mpg doing 70 on a long run. Giving it some stick I haven't seen lower than 19mpg really.

over 12k my trip tells me I've averaged 21.7mpg.

frustratingly small fuel tank.. would happily have the 80ltr but from my knowledge it wasn't an option on UK W213's.

I have a MY2019 E63S; definitely has an 80 litre tank.

Range of 300-400 miles depending how much motorway you do. Even through average cameras @ 50mph you wont see above 28mpg.

My C63 (non-S) was much better on fuel.
