What’s the standard stereo like on the C63 W205 ?

I’ve heard the Burmester stereo which is nice but have seen a non premium C63 in almost my ideal spec but no Burmester.

Want a non premium C63 due to no sunroof and no keyless go, which are plus points in my book.

Most of the time you’ll be listening to the engine with the windows down if you’re anything like me. If the rest of the spec matches I’d go for it.

Not quite the same but my 2012 CLS63 doesn't have Harmon Kardon - basic system sounds pretty good to be fair though.

I planned to spend £1k to £2k to get a great system put in but I now plan to change the car in the next 12 months so haven't bothered.

I have C63s (W205) with the premium pack and Burmeister audio. The soundstage is good (as in it surrounds and is mixed well) but it lacks low end punch, even when fairly loud.

I recall when looking that somebody mentioned that the speakers are the same but that Burmeister tuned the premium one and you have the option to change the surround mix and bass/mid/treble via Command.

If you don't want the rest of the premium pack options and have a car with the other spec items you want then get it as i was underwhelmed with the Burmeister. Plus any half decent car audio specialist will be able to fit better replacement speakers and maybe even add a small amp to tune and give it more punch for between £500-£1k depending on how far you want to go.

As a guide I replaced the door speakers in my old M5 (2006) with Focal 100 mids and tweeters and changed the subwoowers under the seats all powered by a small amp and it made the world of difference all for under £800.

I'd be keen to know how much a speaker swap on the C63 would be - but as others have said, i'm still in the honeymoon period of listening to the engine (i'm told this could last quite a long time wink
