E Class W213 carplay

Hi,

I'm about to buy a 19 plate pre-reg E220D SE. It has the two widescreen displays and the Audio 20 system. I don't think Apple carplay is included on the Audio 20 - can anyone confirm if it is or not and if not, is it possible to add carplay functionality?

I've a 68 plate AMG Line Premium and no, it doesn't have Carplay on the audio 20.

I saw some hack -update dongle you could buy that enabled it but have heard of MB removing it and warranty worries regarding the use of this. I think Merc can also enable this at a cost of $4 billion, bowever it was several months ago and my recollection is hazy.

I am also interested in this - I have an 18 plate (July 2018) W213 which has Audio 20.

I asked my local MB dealer if I can get carplay, to which they said it would cost me £6,000 which will involve changing it to a COMMAND system.

I told them to leave it - would be cheaper getting rid of this and getting another.

Still looking to find someone who can do it for this car - these OBD ports hack apparently do not work for this model?

I think they do work, you just need the right one.
The one I read about ended up getting wiped by MB when the car was taken for a service.
