Cost - replacing inlet manifold?
Discussion
Hi all, any advice gratefully appreciate.
I have a 2011 E250 Mercedes Coupe and went to drive off the other day only to kangaroo a little, lose revs then stall. On starting I tried to reverse and again stalled. 10 minutes later I tried again and it was drivable, however the automatic gears were changing at higher RPM (normally changes per 2,000 and was going up to 2,500 before shifting up.
I went into my local garage and they think the inlet manifold is to blame and indicated it possibly being around £1,500 to repair
I am taking it over to a local independent specialist in Poole, Star Tech, however can anyone advise if they have had similar? The mechanic said it was quite common on these model/makes so any advice would be gratefully received!
