What happens to AMG cars from MB world?
Discussion
They retail them before they get to 9k miles (think that is the maximum Merc allow them to). I bought a CLS63 from them with around 8k miles on the clock just over a year old. Car was fantastic, they replaced the brakes (disks and pads) and tyres and gave it a really good level of prep. Plus the 5.5 V8 was nicely run in
I was chatting with one of the ladies that drives for MBW experiences and she reckoned the ex-experience cars kick out increased power as they are loosened up. I wouldn’t disagree based on my cars performance. The track is pretty small, they always warm the cars up and get regular maintenance.
They don’t shout about the cars history in the adverts but 6-8k miles is an indicator and when asked they do tell.
I’d buy another ex-experience car.

my E63s is not quite from MB World, but it was apart of the Mercedes Press Car Fleet so I guess its within the same parameters.
My car was bought with 11k on it and was pristine with no signs of it being hammered so I was happy with it. Seeing pics of it on Autocar and videos of it on youtube getting very sideways in clouds of smoke did make me a little nervous though, so I would advise going over a potential car with a fine tooth comb, just because. Mercedes owned car will no doubt be in good condition and with a good no expense spared history though.

Pads last a week and discs a month on average. Checked, serviced and maintained very meticulously due to public liability reasons. Sold to the network as ex-MBUK vehicles along with all the rest of the MK head office and dealer network staff scheme vehicles.
Unlike virtually every other car purchased second hand you know the history of a MB World car perfectly. You know it has been properly run in and has been meticulously maintained while in service. When released back into the Mercedes dealer network as an AUC all consumables ie pads, rotors and tyres are replaced and the car will be prepped to as new condition. Lastly it will come with the balance of its factory new car warranty PLUS a 2 year full factory warranty.
The only catch is that these cars might not always be fully optioned up but if you can find the spec you want these cars make for a perfect second hand purchase.

One of my friends is a senior technician at at MBW and he advised, as above, that all the cars are maintained regardless or cost and when they go back on sale they are in a near perfect condition as possible.
Also, more so with the 4x4's, they will pretty much maintain the vehicle for the future and sort any part failure regardless as they know the history of the vehicle. One such was an ML that after 18 months of the new owner having the car, it was pretty much a brand new car as just about every mechanical part had been replaced regardless due to MB knowing the history.

That's good but it's a bit worrying that so much could break so quickly. These are supposed to be rugged cars.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
