C63 supercharging - who has?

Hi all,

Currently have Mclaren but want 4 seats.

I have had 2 C63's previously and now want a black series. Has anyone supercharged theirs?

In the past I have seen cars for sale with the Weistec kit, it often seems the case that people supercharge and then sell the car soon after completing the mods.

Can it be done reliably?

Why a supercharger? Surely a decent DMS visit will unleash additional power without the costs and mechanical issues surrounding a supercharger.

Lee up in the North East (LeeC63 on here I think) was one of the first in the country to do this, a good few years ago now as well, probably 5 or so. His motor is still working perfectly well and without issues though is still only Stage 2 as far as I can remember. All the work was done at MSL Performance in Birmingham who have done several of them now, normally using Weistec blowers. The boss at MSL just happens to have a supercharged Black Series C63, which was the first Mercedes to run over 200mph at V-Max, so they certainly know what they're doing with them.

The performance increase with a supercharger is night and day compared to a standard map and, dependant upon how far you want to take it, some impressive figures can be gained.

I had a Eurocharged remap on my C63's, great improvement but the car needs 650+

They seem to run very reliably with a supercharger and I think MSL’s black series is around a 1000bhp! They certainly seem the guys to go to for anything Mercedes and were very helpful when I had my c63 and was looking at their remap/ exhaust options.
Traction must be the main issue running that kind of power as even standard they like to get sideways! Although I didn’t have an LSD on mine.

Another nod for MSL here. I have seen Acid's C63 screaming up and down... a private test track... and it flies.
I assume you are looking at the 6.2 rather than the newer 4.0tt, but have you considered an E63 5.5TT?
