Hi all,
Car is e-class estate 2016. It is 3 years old tomorrow and when it was in for service last week i asked for the maps to be updated. They were waiting for a USB apparently. I have just had the dealer call me to tell me i am on version 9, 2018 which is the latest one. Can anyone confirm this is the latest one or is version 10 out?

Cheers
D

I've always found it a battle to get MB to update sat nav, I believe its because it's a lengthy process and I assume means the car is sitting occupying a service bay for longer than they'd like.

I'm due a service in June so will be running an older version anyway, I actually find myself using navigation on my phone in the car these days.

Hi

My 2016 E class estate is three years old next week. I’ve just had the maps updated to v11.0 (2019). This was at Marshall’s in Blackburn.

Free. Fairly sure you are entitled to three years of free updates from when car was first registered.

Thanks. Appreciate it.

I was told last week that mine on Verion 9 (2018) is the latest version. I did question it.
Mine is the old shape e class. (Not the new, new shape)

Yes. That’s why I asked for it to be done at service last week.

When did you have yours done?

Yes - mine’s also the last of the old shape (S212) - AMG Night Edition. Got it done about two weeks ago.

So i spoke to Marshall's at Blackburn this morning and they suggested V12 (2019/2020) was now out.

I spoke to my service manager at my local MB and explained this. He suggested they don't have an update. I have asked him to investigate as they are both MB main dealers. Car was 3 years old on 10th of this month hence me wanting to get it done before the three years.

Waiting for them to come back to me now.

They are going to sort it. However they need to install a piece of software on their computer to download the update and get a 64gb USB stick to do the update. Apparently Merc has recently changed how they give dealers the update, used to be by CD and then USB. At least it is getting sorted, not sure by when though.
