clk55 convertible - towbar or bike rack + electrics

Hi All

i've already dont a search and could only find 1 entry for this model
2003 clk55 convertible

i want to be able to carry 2 bikes , but research shows that this model is not type approved for towing, although someone on here put a towbar on it anyway - does anyone have details on what towbar it was / model etc.

if there is an alternate option of a bike rack (which i assume will cover the rear license plate - so will need electrics) that will allow the hood to operate? does anyone know of it?

Towing and accessories are far more popular on the continent and I would imagine you will have some success if you have a search around Benelux/Germany/France for towbars and other parts.
Alternatively a supplier near where I live are very good in all things towing. GT Towing near Hatfield/South Mimms. Google will find them. They do mail order but I've found they are really knowledgeable. they supply and fit from all manufacturers so should be able to source something.
I will soon hope to own an A207 Cabrio E400 and have considered a towbar for continental family trips for a small trailer. there is towing equipment for it but some manufacturers say nothing is available. GT Towing were able to help me out and source one.
