2019 A Class - Cracking Lease deals or otherwise
Discussion
A thread for us to chat through tips/tricks etc relating to the 2019 A Class that a bunch of us have coming from the various great lease deals around recently.
Mine's a A180D AMG Line in Mountain grey that arrives Fri 26th April
Already checked with local dealer and they've said that Mercedes Connect Me app can be enabled with proof of lease, carplay can be enabled for £267 (too pricey to be worthwhile given its a one year lease for me)

Nice to know re the Mercedes Connect Me app as I know that was causing a bit of anger/frustration amongst us leasers.
Apple CarPlay is worth it only if you will make use of it everyday. I've seen loads of listings on eBay which offer it for around £99 but it seems to be for the gens previous to ours - hopefully they will be able to do the new gen soon and at that price it would be much more appealing.
Has anyone rang around and enquired about the first service cost?

The me app was related to my carplay request but they seemed alright about it, who knows maybe it'll just work lolApple CarPlay is worth it only if you will make use of it everyday. Ref service, I'm waiting to buy a pair of trousers with more pockets so I can get £300 worth of cake and biscuits out of them when I go!!
My A180 AMG-Line lease arrived beginning March.
I've bought the CarPlay upgrade and it works well. Wouldn't be without Audible, Apple Books and Apple Maps.
I added the aluminium trim, but everything else is standard. I do miss not having heated seats and front parking sensors, but am quite happy with the 7" screens which are sharp and responsive.
The petrol engine has run in well and is now quite smooth, it's easy to overtake traffic and feels far more powerful than it actually is. MPG is 45 to 55 average. Hate the 'lane assist' which is far far too aggressive. It can be turned off, but default to on each time. I have a "buzzing" sound from somewhere difficult to locate - apparently a common problem due to a loose module behind the dash/steering wheel.
The car is LOW. So a warning to take speed-humps slowly.
Re. servicing - I was quoted £350, £475, £350 (all these including loan car of £50) so ended up just getting the 3 year service plan. Don't save much but just simpler. Considered juggling for two services but doesn't quite work for me on my mileage.

Thanks for the mini review. I was quite surprised to see such good MPG figures from the petrol variant - I would have opted for that over the diesel if we had the option. I found it quite strange that parking sensors are not standard by a reverse camera is. The only thing I'm concerned about is the 7" screens but good to hear that you don't think negatively of them.I've bought the CarPlay upgrade and it works well. I have an A180D (old shape) 2015. I had 3 years free servicing, my 4th year without the free service Mercedes wanted to charge me over £600 for a service (if I included the brake pads and discs it would be approaching £1k). I ended up going to an independent. Service pack is worth getting to avoid potential ridiculous service costsAgain, I just can't get over the servicing cost lol if it was the AMG 35 then I'd understand...

Was that at £267? Did you get it as a factory fit option or post delivery?I've bought the CarPlay upgrade and it works well. Wouldn't be without Audible, Apple Books and Apple Maps.

Got a A250 amp line on cheap lease coming in July, can’t wait....
Shame no car play, lived without it before so will see!
Reference the serving is it 15,500 miles or 1 year whichever comes first?
Will try and do first service bit late....as only 2 year lease.
Not driven one hope it’s got some go, coming from Cupra 300

Cheers, have you tried the mercedes app yet? Interested to know if that works ok or if we have to go into the dealer to get activated with proof of lease.
My father received his yesterday and set up the app with no problems at all. The app is very limited in its usage though and disappointing to find that the useful services are charged at an additional cost. Vehicle tracking
Locking/Unlocking
Live traffic info
Sat nav map updates
In my opinion these should all be included already! I think they are around £30+ each per year.
