NEW SHAPE G WAGON

I'm ready to order my new G350d. If I put down £5k with my local Mercedes dealer I can expect delivery sometime in March 2020.

I understand the new shape G350d has been out for some time in Germany, and had I have ordered back last year i'd be taking delivery in May 2019 :~(

My plan is to head to europe and buy one as I'll be using it mainly in Spain & France. Where would be the best place to see a good selection of physical G wagons as so I have the best choice of colour and spec ?

I have a deposit on one and was told delivery would be September. Deposit was £1k paid in March.,

Is this a case of "allocated build slots" I wonder?

OP, try various dealers and see if they all say the same thing. Also you should be able to get a LHD one even at a UK dealer if you are going to use it on the continent mostly.

Just to see a good selection try Switzerland, there are plenty of them here. Have a look on autoscout24.ch and you’ll see the abundance.
But it makes no sense for you to buy here as prices are higher and you’d have to import in the EU.
I bought my W463 G55 earlier this year and I’m wondering why I didn’t get one sooner, they’re fantastic cars!
