Mercedes Vito says depress clutch but I already am!

My Mercedes Vito keeps saying to depress clutch in order to start the vehicle. I am already am pressing it!

Any ideas whats up with it and ways to go to repair it?

Any help is appreciated!

There is probably a micro switch somewhere on the clutch pedal that isn't
sending the right message to the ecu?
