Hello. I have a c350 2014 reg , with command live traffic updates. It has been working perfectly fine since I paid for an annual subscription 2 months ago. However, today when I turned car on I noticed that the traffic symbol had disappeared. I logged onto the merc app and there was no indication of any issues with my subscription. It states that I am active. Before I go to the dealer to waste time and money on them (which has happened before when I was trying to get it to set up initially when I purchased the car) I wanted to see if any of you has any advice on this matter.

Thanks

It sometimes drops out - in my previous 2016 E class the traffic icon very occasionally didn't appear and I got a new E class estate in December and it has happened once so far.

It just comes back.

I have the same problem with my CLS. It went ‘offlline’ a couple of days ago and no amount of coaxing will bring it back at the moment.
TBH, after many years of stubbornly loyal MB ownership I have a resigned view on these problems... MB and software just don’t go together well (don’t get me started on MercedesMe!!!!)

However, fact that you and I have the same problem at the moment may be indicative of something more ‘central’.

And this morning it's back working again.

Mine has been up and down a bit in the last few days - it seems to be taking a bit longer to "log on".

Noticed today that my Live Traffic was not working? All I had was the signal bars for my mobile phone strength. Mine is a 2013 C63 and my Live Traffic subs is till May 2020.

When I went into the Traffic menu, where you can view the subscription status, everything apart from "read out traffic announcements" was greyed out.

I parked up in a local ASDA to do some shopping, when I got back and started up the car, the Live Traffic was...alive?

I wonder if TomTom or the SIM card provider network is having problems?

Mine eventually did just come back itself. I appreciate the advice because I would have taken it to mercedes otherwise, but instead just held fire and waited for it to correct itself. Still, this is not great to have a service that has been paid for, but is intermittent in its availability.

I'm glad you flagged it here. Would have been an easy £150 for Merc to "diagnose" but evidently there is a "central" issue. So the "thanks" goes to you!

My LiveTraffic (3 month old E class) has now packed up.

Was working yesterday, this morning it was gone. Still gone this evening going home. I’ve a dreadful Manchester- Leeds commute so it’s like I’ve lost a limb.

Booked in to Merc on Monday. Total pain in the arse!

Had a long drive today, and mine was fine...did over 300 miles. Did a road trip to Wales last weekend and it was OK even up in Snowdonia where it lost signal strength a few times. So, I'm hoping the outage I had a few weeks back was just a "blip".

Mine came back this afternoon.

This really isn’t acceptable.

I spoke too soon. Drove to Evans Cycles in Gatwick today from near the M25 at Swanley, the Live Traffic had once again packed up, all I had was the bars for my mobile phone signal strength. Collected my stuff from Evans, got back in the car and it was working again?

Mine is up and down like we’s drawers.

I think l the live traffic is from TomTom.
If so I wonder if this is a Mercedes problem or a TomTom problem.

Mines in at Merc in Leeds today, even though it's working again.
It's not a totally wasted trip since the car was delivered with bird dropping damage in the lacquer which they're going to try and sort. Hopefully.

Hi, do you mind asking them while you are there if this intermittent issue is known about. Mine continues to come and go for no obvious reason still. Thanks

I will do so and report back - I don't hold out much hope of getting an answer that is valid though. Sadly these days you don't ever get to speak to the person who actually does the work.

Thank you for contacting Mercedes me connect.

Regarding your email, due to a general issue in UK, it was not possible to use the Live Traffic Information.
