W204 320 C Class V6

Hi all

My C class 6v dropped a glow tip into no6 cylinder. Herd it tinle for about 5 secs before I stopped the engine. I have tried a cheapy bore scope, cant see anything so am awaiting a high def unit to see if I can locate the bit. its about 4mm by 3 mm.

My question is, if I cant find it, is it possible to lift the nearside head to remove it, or does the engine have to come out? also any one any ideas of the time involved?
Anyone else had this problem?
