Hi all

I’ve got a C63 507 (wagon)

Fitted a quaife LSD a couple of years ago and delighted with the extra control and slidy action. I’m not a car “modifier” but have a niggling idea to refresh and, perhaps, improve on the stock spec

The car had done 40,000 miles and I think the best days of the suspension are behind it. I don’t want to lower the car or set it up for the track. I’d like to get very compliant road setup. The one area the standard car could be improved is to reduce the crashy ride

Has anyone any experience of upgrading a W204 car? What are the options? I don’t mind spending a fair chunk if the quality is high (eg exe-tc but not sure they do Mercedes, do they?)

Thanks all

The 507 suspension is the same as the standard C63?

Have a look for some 18" C63 wheels+the higher profile tyres to improve the ride?

Thanks jet_noise. I’ll still be left with somewhat tired suspension so will try and tackle that first. Alloy swap not a priority

I’ve posted in general gassing so see if anyone has general experience of aftermarket upgrades

Hello fellow wagon owner. I just have a standard C63 albeit with PPP but I have swapped from 19s to the standard 18s and ride improved and not paranoid about cracking wheels.

Not my C63 but I had an M3 previously and fitted KW V3 coilovers and it was head and shoulders the best riding car I've had.

Hi Carhabit,

I think I own your old 507 (XBZ), I’ve just ticked 70k miles the other day and its a real joy to own.

Wasn’t able to email you but if you could drop me one that would be great. Its always nice to get some history of the car as I only received the service history and a receipt from birds bmw for the quaife.

I'd give Centre of Gravity a call - https://centergravity.co.uk/
They have transformed my cars. Had a lovely 993 that had complete suspension refresh and new bushes etc.
It was "set-up" by a specialist and the ride was rubbish. CoG spent a day fettling the chassis and it was like driving a completely different car that flowed down the road.
They are the only people I would trust to get a car riding correctly.
