New c63S AMG coupe

Don't often post here but big fan of the forums. Didn't really have very much to post about before by way of cars I have owned but just I placed an order for a new C63S coupe so thought I would see what people thought of the spec I'm going with.
Selenite grey magno paint, night pack, titanium forged wheels, premium plus pack.
Considered the brilliant blue but didn't fancy it much when I saw it in the flesh. I realise the magno will be harder to keep so I'm getting it treated upon delivery. As for the wheels, I'd like an all black wheel but the option isn't available. I am not a fan of the black amg wheel with the thin silver stripe around the outside. Anybody any thoughts, or got something similar? Would appreciate the input .

Sounds great. I’d go for the aero pack too, definitely makes the car stand out. I have the black wheels with the thin lip. I believe you can option the ones with the thicker lip too on the 2019. I personally think both look great, especially with the magno.

Have you got the aero kit? There are a number of relatively high speed bumps and awkward declinations in my work car park so I didn't opt for that for fear of rogering a lower front end!
Yes I saw the thicker lip option too. I thought they made the wheel look smaller, but maybe that's just me!

These cars are a good spec as standard as long as you have the premium pack you will have all the essentials, magno grey is lovely but was my second choice.
I ordered mine way back on the 10th August and is finally due to arrive 1st March, hope yours arrives quicker than mine! My spec is as follows.

Obsidian black
Premium plus pack
Night pack
Black ash trim
Head up display
Driver assistance pack

I wasn’t keen on any of the wheels but went for the black AMG as I felt the forged looked smaller than they actually are. I didn’t go aero kit as I want it to look as subtle as possible.

I don't as I have the pre-facelift coupe. I saw a post on another forum that had measured the difference between the aero splitter and normal and it really was negligible. I'll try and find where I saw it.

There were delivery hold ups over the particulate filter thing, but I also heard there have been severe delays on all magno painted cars recently too. I originally specced mine with magno and was told near the build date it would cause a 4 month delay so swapped it out last minute for obsidian black - though this was a year or so ago now so a different case of course.

I'm guessing it must be WLTP, pretty much all manufacturers have struggled with it. Hope the new filter doesn't affect the sound too much!

If I knew what I know now I would have just ordered a pre face-lift car back in December 2017 when I first started looking.

Also they were circa 10/12% cheaper than the new model. I think mine lists at 87k which is quite frankly ridiculous!

Grey is nicely under the radar. Mine’s got the black AMG 19/20” wheels - you can address the silver trim strip by not washing your wheels for a week - they soon turn all black! Or you could get them painted.

I would’t advise any areo kits if they lower the bodywork any further - going over potholes or up any inclined drive etc is already a butt-clenching experience.

Prem pack gives you everything you need - I like a sunroof.

Main thing is the engine and the sound! Rest is secondary!

Although mines a 43, do consider Selenite Grey as it’s a lovely colour!

I did. It’s part of the carbon pack that means the spoiler and wing mirrors are carbon but it’s almost £1500 and with the night pack the mirrors are already black. Didn’t think it was worth the extra but if it looks like it needs it I could always get the spoiler wrapped?
Anyway, have placed the order so waiting to hear about a build slot. :-)

Has anybody any experience of spacers for the rear wheels on the c63 AMG? Does it affect your insurance or warranty?

Picked mine up about a month ago just after the new year and I've loved it!

Can't stop driving it, and Race mode is................ well, try it for yourself

As everyone else has mentioned I would say definitely choose the night pack. Other than that, the C63s imo has a massive improvement on the normal C63 regardless. Don't bother with too many options.

Just pick a nice colour (don't be boring with white or black) and enjoy the ride

I think the silver looks great with the night pack. Hopefully the selenite magno looks as good with that contrast.
Turns out the magno matt paint is actually around half the price of ceramic coating for standard paint. With a 5 year warranty too. Bonus!
Build slot for April confirmed. Due delivery around 14th May. Fingers crossed.
Spec lock-out day approaching. Change anything else or leave as is??

Doesn’t look like either the white one or the silver one there has the aerodynamic pack?
Have been considering it but not sure it adds an awful lot?
