Slk55 (172) service internals important?
Discussion
Picking up a 2012 SLK 55 this week-it was last serviced in March 2018 at 20,000 miles for a B Service. It had been done every year prior by a main dealer on the basis of Mercedes 12 months or 15,000 mile rule.
It has only done a couple of thousand miles since then so by the time it gets to 12 months (March 19) there is no way it would have done more than 4000 miles since the last service.
How important is it to stick to the Mercedes 12 months/15,000 miles? Or, given it is a six year old car will commonsense (for example, a Mercedes independent specialist looking at it at 12 months rather than a main dealer) be just as good in a few years time when we come to move it on?

Once you are outside the warranty period it doesn't matter from that point of view.
I have the same situation with my 2004 SL, although the service intervals on mine is 2 years or 10k miles. It had a B service including spark plugs 3 years ago when I bought it and had only done another 2.5k miles when the next service was due in January 2018. Rather than have a full A service I had the oil and filter changed and had the service book stamped accordingly.
I don't think this will make any difference if I do want to sell, to me servicing within the mileage stipulation is more important then the time stipulation at such low mileage usage.
I plan to have a full A service next January by which time I will only have done another 3k maximum probably, so it will still only be about 5.5k miles since the big B service.
