So at present I'm. Running 255 35 18 z, I was wondering how wide I could go on current rims without upsetting balance too much and, not popping off the rim, just for a bit. More traction, you know? Will 265 fit in the arches?

Thanks

You can run 265/35/18 no problem.

The standard wheels are 8J front and 9J rear so you can also go up to a 245/40/18 on the front to keep the differential stagger at the same 2cm level.

I went from 285's to 295's on my C63s without any issue and gained a heap of traction, although some of this might have been down to the change in tyre from Conti 5P's to Conti 6's. Don't forget to let your insurer's know (in my case, there was no charge).

It's an entirely different car. The W204 C63 has much narrower wheels/arches whatever as stock. You'd definitely get rubbing on an W204 with that size tyre.
