Just bought myself an 02 one as a runabout, couple of things, the built in phone, is there a cable that allows connection with a phone made this century? smile (or a bluetooth adaptor that's not hundreds of quid? Also, can you get an updated satnav disc ?

Hi there,
I had a ‘55 AMG W215, so similar in so many ways.
At the back of my memory I seem to recall that the Nokia 6210 that worked nimbly with the cable and slot. I even recall it being exactly the same phone working in my later SL55. Probable reason that the Nokia 6210 was the most popular business phone for many years and many manufacturers built solutions for them.

Bluetooth - don’t know.

SatNav - largely depends on the Comand unit, which in an ‘02 would naturally be early in the model’s life. With my car, I did get an updated nav disc but it didn’t upgrade graphics, but the data for new streets etc.

Hope this helps.

you can buy an adaptor for the Nokia phone cradle that makes it a Bluetooth handsfree kit instead. I used one on my SL55 and it worked well.

IIRC there is one from Mercedes that is some kind of fortune and an aftermarket option that is much cheaper.
