The story goes, we or I should say I want a bigger car, currently have a 203 330d M Sport touring, great car but the miles are getting up there now 126k, and wanted something with low miles, newer and bigger.

So, looked at the E Class Night Edition via the Used Approved website, went to look at a few and was let down, £20-22k, 25k on the clock but resprayed doors with a bad finish around the edge.

Then, I spotted a CLS SB, only a 220 engine, tan leather, AirMATIC, 360 camera, HK audio, sunroof, bigger command screen and the premium pack, 26k on the clock for 22k.

So what should be wary of?
How partical is the car in the real world? To small
dogs and a pushchair?

Test drive was amazing gave me an excited feeling, very refined and insualar compared to my 330d!, car is at the Brooklands Mercedes which is a great place to go!

Thanks
Luke

I had the same decision to make last year.
The CLS SBs generally were a higher spec than the E class and did feel a bit more special.
My teenage daughters found the rear of the CLS small compared to the E class and so when I found an E class with the high spec I wanted then my search was over.
18 months later I am still pleased with my E350, I am sure I would have been just as pleased with a CLS SB.

Owned two CLS SBs, excellent build quality, excellent refinement and can easily fit a family's life in it. I have had internal doors, 9ft Xmas trees, five people etc.

They are quite rare, look excellent and really good value. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would happily go back to one.

I agree, the E feels the bigger car in terms of headroom and boot space, that’s from the higher roofline. I didn’t feel the CLS seat height was any lower than the E Class.

I test drove the E Class in the spec I wanted, it felt boring, to drive and the interior! Felt dated compared to my 330d, that had Pro Nav so the big screen and clocks with the HK audio, the infotainment in the E felt crap!! The CLS on the other hand, made me smile, just as good infotainment, and the tan leather inside, it just felt right! Maybe I was to excited with the salesman sitting next to me!

Thanks..
