As above i have my 1999 c43 Amg booked in next week at Mb Guildford for a value service labour only price of £98.02 i will supply genuine Mb oil filter and oil, it’s essentially an A service -

Bloomin bargain! I've found Guildford MB to be excellent.

It does seem that some MB dealers are on a mission to be as competitive as independents and have dramatically reduced their labour rates.

Two of our cars have been main dealer serviced recently for less than two local MB specialists were quoting, and of course have the additional benefit of keeping Mobilo going.

A lot of indies have increased there prices in line with main dealers and no longer offer the perceived savings most of the public think they do.

Does seem good value, but have you seen the Ts & Cs? They don't have to use genuine parts and you lose your corrosion warranty and Mobilo by opting for the 'value' service.

Yep, not a issue for my 19 year old Amg, used the value service option a few times over the years with no issues.

If they do actually do all that, and I'm sure they will, then that is great. Having mine serviced at an independent shortly, as I couldn't get a straight answer on a service quote from the MB dealer I bought from. After the independent I'm going to, had checked out the last service, to give me an accurate answer of what it needed this year, it turns out last year, the MB dealer did a full B service (down as a Large service scope) and only changed the oil and filter. Can only wonder what the customer was charged :-\

If I understand this:

Actual work done:

Oil change
Car wash

You provide the oil and filter.

So I'm guessing the labor rate is about 98 GBP per hour as it's all labor as it takes about 20 minutes to change oil (while you walk around and do the visual inspection) and 40 minutes to wash the car??

Not a bad deal for either
